Compare the same job and the same inclusions

A tap repair and a tap installation are different jobs. A repair may involve a replaceable component in the existing fitting; an installation involves fitting another tap. Swift Home’s current guides are £85 for a standard tap washer replacement or repair and £90 for tap installation. The new tap is supplied separately or sourced by arrangement.

Our tap repair and installation page explains the details that help establish which job is needed. The final quote depends on the fitting, fault and access.

Examples from the published price guide

  • Sink waste or P-trap replacement: £95, including parts.
  • Accessible 15mm or 22mm pipe leak repair: £150, including parts.
  • Like-for-like toilet replacement: £180, with the toilet supplied separately.
  • Bath panel replacement: £150, including an acrylic bath panel and sealing.
  • Non-invasive leak investigation: £110 for up to one hour.

These are guide prices for the stated scopes, not a guaranteed quote for every property. See the full plumbing price guide for the current list and booking details.

Why the quote can change

Corroded fittings, restricted access or incompatible replacement parts can change the work required. An investigation may identify a repair that needs a separate quote. Tell us if a fitting is concealed or if previous work has already been attempted.

Parts are included only where stated. Ask what you are expected to supply before ordering a fixture. For a toilet replacement, for example, compatibility with the existing waste outlet and available space matters as well as the price of the toilet.

Timing and several jobs together

Evening, weekend and emergency attendance is subject to availability, at an emergency rate agreed before attendance. Your total quote is agreed before booking. There is no guaranteed immediate or round-the-clock response.

If several fittings need attention, send the whole list. Suitable secondary or identical work may qualify for the published labour discount, but that does not halve materials or the entire job price. The combined quote states what applies.

Get a quote that you can compare

Send your postcode, photographs and a short description of each fault. Ask for the scope, parts inclusions and total payable. Homeowners and landlords can then compare the actual work being offered, rather than just the first number in a price list.
