Useful observations before a visit
Record when the water appears and whether it follows tap, shower or appliance use. Photograph changes in staining from a safe position. Damp alone does not establish that a supply pipe is leaking.
An agreed initial investigation
We review accessible fittings and the evidence you provide. The existing guide allows up to one hour of non-invasive investigation. This is diagnostic time, not a guaranteed concealed-leak location or repair.
If opening up is needed
Any removal of a panel or opening of a surface needs a separate scope and agreement. Hidden conditions and making good cannot be assumed from a photograph. Specialist detection or a different trade may be appropriate.
Active leaks
If safe, isolate the water supply and stop using the affected fitting. Keep clear of water near electrical equipment. Call to check urgent availability rather than waiting for a message response.
